RIGHTSEU Participates in the Jean Monnet Cluster Meeting 2026 in Brussels

On 8 and 9 October, Brussels hosted the Jean Monnet Cluster Meeting 2026, held under the theme “Teaching EU Studies at schools in a changing world”. Emma Rodríguez Rodríguez, coordinator of the RIGHTSEU project (The central role of the European Union’s social rights in employment in the twenty-first century), participated in the event on behalf of the University of Vigo.

The meeting brought together Jean Monnet projects to share experiences, exchange good practices and reflect on current challenges in teaching about the European Union. Throughout the two-day event, discussions addressed teaching methodologies, teacher training, student engagement, digital transformation and artificial intelligence, as well as the dissemination and long-term sustainability of European projects.

RIGHTSEU received a positive response during the meeting, attracting interest and praise for its work on European Union social rights and their relationship with employment. The experience provided an opportunity to increase the project’s visibility, share its approach with other participants and establish connections with initiatives working to promote knowledge and understanding of the European Union.

Participation in these events helps strengthen cooperation between Jean Monnet projects and highlights the importance of bringing European social rights and EU values closer to the educational and employment contexts.

The University of Vigo’s RIGHTSEU project continues to promote awareness of the European Union’s social rights and their role in building a fairer, more inclusive and sustainable labour market.
