Emma Rodríguez Rodríguez

Emma Rodríguez Rodríguez is an Associate Professor of Labour Law and Social Security at the University of Vigo and Principal Investigator of the Jean Monnet project “The central role of the European Union’s social rights in employment in the Twenty-First Century (RIGHTSEU).” Her academic and professional career has been dedicated to the study of European labour law, with a particular focus on equality, work-life balance, and shared responsibility in employment.

She has led various research projects funded by national and international institutions and has served as an advisor to the Spanish Secretary of State for Employment at the Ministry of Labour and Social Economy, contributing to the development and evaluation of public policies in the labour field. Her research has been published in numerous studies and presented at conferences on labour law, employment, and social protection within the European Union.

As the coordinator of the RIGHTSEU project, she leads an interdisciplinary team aiming to strengthen the training of vocational education teachers in European social rights, promoting the integration of these values into education and employability. Additionally, she actively collaborates with international organizations in the dissemination of best practices related to decent work and social inclusion
